How long does a typical project take from start to finish?
Normally the entire process from countertop selection to installation takes between two to two and a half weeks. Typically, we schedule your countertop installation 10 business days after the template creation date.
How long will it take to install my countertops?
Installing your new countertops can take anywhere from one and a half hours to six hours depending on how large your project is. To get a more accurate timeframe please reach out to us with details on your specific project and our friendly team will be able to give you an estimate.
How long does it take to create an installation template for my project?
This depends on how large your project is, but typically creating a template for your project can take anywhere from thirty minutes to three hours depending on how much measuring is needed.
Will you disconnect/reconnect my plumbing, gas or electric cooktop when installing my countertops?
We don’t handle gas or electrical disconnections/reconnections and recommend that this is taken care of prior to the installation date of your new countertops. We are able to coordinate the disconnection/reconnection of your plumbing though and use licensed plumbers to do this. If this is an additional service you require, let us know and we can add this to your project estimate.
Will you remove my tile backsplash?
We don’t remove tile backsplashes however we are happy to recommend licensed professionals we have worked with that can help you with this part of your project.
How long will my countertop seal last and when should I reseal my countertops?
This depends on the type of stone you have selected for your project. Normally you will need to seal your countertops at least once a year. You can find specific care instructions for natural stone materials here.
Will you remove my old countertops?
Yes! If you’d like us to remove your old countertops as part of your installation, let us know and we will add this to your project estimate.
Will you buy back my old granite countertops?
No, we do not buy previously installed countertops. Once a countertop is installed, it is rarely reusable as the dimensions are cut specifically to your layout, and it may become damaged during the removal process.
What does etching mean when talking about marble countertops?
Etching is where the polish on the marble starts to come off in certain areas due to regular wear and tear. Once the stone has etched, you cannot re-polish it. You can find out more how to care for marble here.
How big is your inventory of slabs you have in stock to choose from?
We keep an extensive inventory of slabs and have over 65 different colors in stock.
What are your opening hours?
Our showroom is open Monday – Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday’s 9am-1pm. Our slab yard is open Monday – Friday 9:30am – 3:30pm. We recommend that you call the front office to make an appointment with one of our knowledgeable sales staff.
