Born in Caracas, Venezuela, with familial ties to Barcelona, Spain, Carlos has a unique blend of cultural heritage. In 2000, Carlos moved to the United States. \"Absolute Stone presented my family and me with the opportunity to invest, and the rest is history,\" he recalls.\n\n\n\nCarlos manages the fabrication process and all related personnel in the single-family residential homes department. He also oversees all purchases, payables, and equipment maintenance. \"The best part of my job is bringing a client's vision to life and seeing their satisfaction as their dreams come true,\" says Carlos. When not crafting stunning stonework, Carlos enjoys playing golf and dreams of teeing off in at least 50 different countries. Only 42 more to go! 😊\n\n\n\nMeet Victor: The Multi-Family Visionary\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVictor Torres, born in Caracas after his parents immigrated from Spain, now calls Cary, NC, home. A graduate of Andr\u00e9s Bello Catholic University, Victor worked as a civil engineer in Venezuela before moving to the US in 2003. He soon joined Carlos and Luis as a co-owner of Absolute Stone. \"I feel fortunate to be a U.S. citizen and to have the opportunity to grow our business in the greatest country in the world for pursuing one\u2019s dreams,\" Victor reflects.\n\n\n\nVictor oversees the multi-family and commercial division of Absolute Stone. Initially catering to high-end custom homes, we saw an opportunity to make natural stone accessible to all. By 2003, we expanded our reach to smaller homes, townhouses, and lower-priced houses, collaborating with remodelers, cabinet makers, and restoration companies. This pivotal move laid the groundwork for our growth and established strong business relationships across the board.\n\n\n\nIn 2005, our reputation for quality and exceptional customer service caught the eye of The Home Depot, leading to a significant contract as the sole fabricator for 43 of their stores across North Carolina. This partnership propelled us into the spotlight, showcasing our ability to handle large-scale projects efficiently. Although we later shifted our focus away from The Home Depot, we seamlessly transitioned to working with Lowe's Home Improvement, managing 25 stores and doubling our efforts to meet growing demands.\n\n\n\nEmbracing Innovation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBy 2006, we had built a state-of-the-art facility, launched our Cabinet Division, and unveiled a newly designed showroom. Despite the challenges of the 2008 Housing Crisis, our strategic move into the retail market allowed us to thrive. Shifting gears in 2008, we closed the Cabinet Division to concentrate on the Multifamily Division, landing our first major multifamily project in Chapel Hill in 2010.\n\n\n\nOur journey didn't stop there. In 2015, we opened a second fabrication facility, complete with cutting-edge automated equipment. By 2017, both facilities were updated with the latest robot technology, allowing us to complete thousands of units annually. The addition of a dedicated Service Department in 2015 ensured that our customer needs were met even after installation.\n\n\n\nToday, with fully automated shops using waterjet and CNC technology, Absolute Stone stands tall as one of the top three natural stone fabricators of kitchen countertops in North Carolina.
