At Absolute Stone Corporation, we’ve built our legacy from the ground up, transforming the way natural stone is used in homes and businesses. A Strong Foundation

Established in 1999 and fully operational by January 2000, Absolute Stone quickly became a go-to supplier for local custom home builders and national track home builders. Initially catering to high-end custom homes, we saw an opportunity to make natural stone accessible to all. By 2003, we expanded our reach to smaller homes, townhouses, and lower-priced houses, collaborating with remodelers, cabinet makers, and restoration companies. This pivotal move laid the groundwork for our growth and established strong business relationships across the board.

In 2005, our reputation for quality and exceptional customer service caught the eye of The Home Depot, leading to a significant contract as the sole fabricator for 43 of their stores across North Carolina. This partnership propelled us into the spotlight, showcasing our ability to handle large-scale projects efficiently. Although we later shifted our focus away from The Home Depot, we seamlessly transitioned to working with Lowe’s Home Improvement, managing 25 stores and doubling our efforts to meet growing demands.

Embracing Innovation

By 2006, we had built a state-of-the-art facility, launched our Cabinet Division, and unveiled a newly designed showroom. Despite the challenges of the 2008 Housing Crisis, our strategic move into the retail market allowed us to thrive. Shifting gears in 2008, we closed the Cabinet Division to concentrate on the Multifamily Division, landing our first major multifamily project in Chapel Hill in 2010.

Our journey didn’t stop there. In 2015, we opened a second fabrication facility, complete with cutting-edge automated equipment. By 2017, both facilities were updated with the latest robot technology, allowing us to complete thousands of units annually. The addition of a dedicated Service Department in 2015 ensured that our customer needs were met even after installation.

Today, with fully automated shops using waterjet and CNC technology, Absolute Stone stands tall as one of the top three natural stone fabricators of kitchen countertops in North Carolina. Our expanding market and diverse customer base, including designers, remodelers, custom builders, and national track home builders, are a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation.
